Ipe decking tiles can be installed in just a few hours. The process is easy:
1. First, as with any wood building product, it's best to let the tiles acclimate to your local climate.
2. To highlight and preserve the wood's natural color, apply a coat of Ipe Oil to each tile.
3. Use DeckWise™ tile connectors to arrange and space your deck tiles. For corners and edges, scor the connector with a knife, then bend along the score to break it in two. Our deck tiles come with holes predrilled in each corner. Position these holes over the black pine tree pegs on the connector and push down.
4. Start in one corner and work your way across the deck or patio, laying the tiles out in diagonal rows. You can alternate the rotation of each tile to create a unique pattern of your choosing. When you reach the edges of your space, it may be necessary to cut the tiles. Just make sure not to run into the screws when sawing.
And that's it! You're done! All that's left is to sit back and enjoy your new outdoor escape.
